A relatively young town, Wixams only began life in 2007 but since then it has flourished and is an extremely popular place for young families, all the way up to retired couples, to lay their hat and call Wixams home.

Lake View and Wixams Tree are the two primary schools, with another in development, both fantastic places for the little ones to learn and grow. The secondary school, Wixams Academy, is fresh and modern and is currently undergoing an extension, making sure it caters for the expanding town of Wixams.

The Town Center of Wixams is home to the village hall which is great for social events. The co-op ensures we never run out of the essential groceries, or indeed wine! Feeling hungry? Wixams has a great Fish and Chip shop for those wanting a take away. Or you could try our personal favorite, Portu Gallos. A family run, Portuguese restaurant and take away. Honestly, try the peri peri chicken, you will not be disappointed.

When it comes to evening strolls and walking the dogs, Wixams is a great place to stretch your legs. Several picturesque lakes are dotted around, with pathways that make you feel like you're out in the countryside. In fact, the countryside and open fields are only a short stroll away, so you are covered whatever your preference.

The future for Wixams is exciting! In the plans going forward we have a mainline train station coming, as well as another town center, supermarket, gym and even a pub!
